When in Rome

Finally, I have time to share my experience in New York City you guys! I have been waiting impatiently to return to the city that never sleeps for months and that time has finally arrived. Although, it wasn’t for as long as I would of hoped for, it will fulfill me until the next time.

It was a privilege to see the World Trade Center memorial, along with a view of the city on top of the Empire State Building. However, let’s get real, not only do you come to see the tourist monuments, you come to shop! And shop we did.

I want to bring attention to a few shops that you should all take a visit to your next time in NYC. Located on Broadway in New York, New York, Madewell is the perfect place to shop for your everyday esstentials, the causal American look, and being eco-friendly in mind. Their sweaters and dresses are perfect for this time of year, displaying simple colors or a beautiful suede embroidery.

If you have money to spend I suggest you check out Opening Ceremony or American Two Shot, both on the pricey side but well worth the investment if you are looking for a unique piece to add to your wardrobe. Both located on in walking distance of each other, you can first stop at American Two Shot to purchase a coffee and new garment for your wardrobe and head down the street to explore the four floors that Opening Ceremony has to offer, trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Lastly, it’s time for you to check out Mango, also located on Broadway, it’s a chic shop on a smaller scale than Zara. A European company, it showcases the latest fashion trends of Europe, bringing them to the American market. Clean lines, beautiful embellishments, and reasonable prices, you can’t go wrong.

Don’t forget on a trip to New York City enjoy a macron or two! Check out the Macaron CafĂ© to satisfy that sweet tooth.
