The Week of Ponchos

A little snow shouldn’t stop you from donning a stylish outfit. Winter isn’t just for staying in hibernation until spring. Winter has fashion trends too.

One of those trends being ponchos, which I dedicated the week’s posts to. A girl can’t have enough ponchos to keep warm & look chic all at the same time. Winter has always been about heavy knits, layering pieces and cozy textiles: the poncho combines them all into one. The poncho is the perfect fashion garment for this winter for layering with a touch of bohemian flair.

I am not the only one embracing this winter’s trend, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, and other design houses have all presented a stylized piece of outwear to their winter collections.

Today’s look is perfect for a Monday commute into the city or school, if you aren’t lucky enough to have a snow day like most of the Midwest & East Coast.
