Salon in your kitchen

No need to pay for shampoos, salon treatments, and lavish salon products. Check out your kitchen instead to help with your hair.

Milk doesn’t just help your bones it helps your hair. Fill a spray bottle with 1/3 cup of milk. 20 minutes before your shower spray the milk all over your hair, make sure your hair is dry. Next, comb the knots and tangles out of your hair with a wide toothed comb. Shower for 15-20 minutes. Shampoo and conditioner your hair as you naturally would, but rinse your hair out a little longer than you normally would. As a result, you will get straight, smooth hair after you shower.

Using extra mayonnaise may not help your hips, but your hair sure could use it. The oils leave strands smooth and frizz-free. Simply slather the spread onto dry hair and leave it in for 30 minutes before shampooing.

Dairy products like sour cream and plain yogurt can help reverse damage. If you’ve run out of conditioner, you can use plain, full-fat yogurt instead. Soft, shiny results guaranteed! Massage 1/2-cup sour cream or plain yogurt into damp hair and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by cool water, then shampoo hair as you normally would. Treatment can be applied every other week

Home beauty experts swear by avocados. The oils and proteins boast the best combination of nutrients for smoothing and weighing down unruly hair. When combined with coconut milk, this fruit helps to clinch split ends. Mix together one mashed avocado with 1 cup of coconut milk. Cover tips of your hair with the paste and let sit for 15 minutes before washing as usual.

Because of its unique cleaning propperities, baking soda can be used occasionally to eliminate build-up from commerical shampoos and conditioners. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking soda with small amounts of water until a thick paste forms. Massage into your damp hair and let sit for 15 mintues. Rines with water, and then shampoo your hair. This treatment can be applied every two weeks.

Honey acts a humectant by pulling water out of the air, so the use of honey on your hair and scalp has seen results in helping your hair become glowing and heathly. Use honey with one-cup water in a bowl. Rub the mixture directyl on your scalp and massage for 2-3 minutes. Once your scalp has been cover, pull the mixture through your hair until it covers your hair from root to tip. Leave the mixture on your hair for up to 3 hours. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat once a week.
